Paediatric Research Project Support for Trainees

Supporting your journey in paediatric research across Australasia

In 2025, CIRCAN (Children’s Inpatient Research Collaboration of Australia and New Zealand) will host a series of research training events specifically designed to address the unique complexities of conducting paediatric research within Australasia. These events will focus on:

  • Navigating ethical requirements
  • Collaborating across diverse healthcare settings
  • Understanding the nuances of paediatric populations

Trainees will gain valuable skills and insights tailored to the regional context, equipping them to successfully undertake paediatric research.

Peer Mentoring

CIRCAN will facilitate connections between trainees and near-peer mentors who have completed higher degrees. These mentors will:

  • Share their experiences
  • Offer guidance on overcoming challenges
  • Provide practical advice for managing both academic and personal demands of research

Available Projects

CIRCAN will offer opportunities for trainees to join established research projects under the guidance of experienced supervisors. These projects are specifically tailored to meet the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) Advanced Trainee research requirements, ensuring trainees receive:

  • High-quality mentorship
  • Hands-on experience within a structured research environment

Opportunities are limited—join CIRCAN to learn more about these projects.
